"Togni’s wonderful curiosity, the 2003 Ca Togni, made from Black Muscat, displays a smorgasbord of aromas that could fill a small auditorium. Sweet caramelized black fruits as well as hints of incense, figs, raisins, tea, and flowers are redolent in this beautifully aromatic, sexy wine. There is 23% residual sugar and 14.6% alcohol, so a half bottle will serve many guests. To appreciate its singularity and brilliant quality, this stunner is best served by itself at the end of the meal.

This is an irrefutable source of remarkable Cabernet Sauvignons that last 20-30+ years! Philip Togni is a no-nonsense, tough-minded guy who is working alongside his daughter, so the succession at this winery is guaranteed should he ever decide to retire." (WA)

Winery Notes:
Finally, our current offering of sweet wine is the ‘03 Ca’ Togni, made from the black-skinned muscat variety Black Hamburgh. The size of that year’s crop was much less than usual. This is one of our better successes with this wine.
