"Ripe and vivid, with a pure beam of blackberry fruit laced with blueberry, spice and pepper notes. The long, polished finish has nice buried minerality. Drink now through 2011. 1,200 cases made." (WS)

Winery Notes:
The word ‘Amplus’ comes from Latin for important, sophisticated, distinguished, and honorable. This line represents the union of tradition and distinction of its Italian ancestors with the innovation of new times. These are modern wines with tremendous complexity and elegance, with whites that feature all the potential of the new Leyda Valley and reds with the tradition of Peumo in the Cachapoal Valley. Amplus Carignan comes from carefully tended 100-year-old Carignan vines in Peumo.

Color:
Deep, violet-ruby-red.

Aroma:
Intense fruity aromas of cherries, raspberries, and blackberries complimented by rich notes of dark chocolate, nutmeg, and roasted coffee beans.

Palate:
Well-structured and full of character with an abundance of creamy tannins, bright and refreshing acidity, and plenty of fresh fruit on its delightfully long, elegant finish.

Pairing Suggestion:
Perfectly pairs with waygu, pork, lamb and game meat. Delicious if drink with seasoned dishes and ripe cheeses.
