"($50) Bright, saturated ruby. Brooding, superripe aromas of blackberry, licorice and coffee liqueur. Juicy and imploded on the palate, with blackberry and mineral flavors carrying a heavy load of nutty oak. Impressive more than fun to drink: I find this a bit too porty. Finishes with broad, dusty tannins and a slightly tart edge. Tasted twice, with similar results." (IWC)
