"Pale yellow. Subtle, discreet nose hints at pineapple and spicy oak. Intensely flavored and gripping, with excellent balance thanks to lovely cut and acidity for the vintage. Seriously bracing premier cru with palate-staining persistence. Here there's some stoniness to go with the strong fruit. Made from parcels that are 15, 50 and 75 years of age, this wine wears its 13.7% alcohol gracefully." (IWC)

"This is also quite prominently reduced so be sure to decant for 30 minutes or so first. The full-bodied, intense and acceptably well-delineated flavors possess ample dry extract and solid length. This isn't heavy, at least not at present, though it may become so if it's held for too long." (BH)

Winery Notes:
Philippe Colin created this Domaine in 2004 after having worked at his family’s Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger for 16 years. The Domaine is comprised of approximately 25 Acres in the areas surrounding the town of Chassagne-Montrachet. Philippe produces 28 different appellations of both red and white – which allows him to showcase the diversity of the Burgundian terroirs. Philippe’s work is fundamentally based on his absolute respect for his vineyards and grapes. The wines are aged for 12 to 18 months in oak barrels depending on the terroir and the rhythm of each wine.
