"Good bright red-ruby. Precise, complex nose melds blackberry, violet and pungent minerality. Dense, fleshy and suave if a bit youthfully imploded. At once seamless and sappy, already conveying captivating inner-mouth perfume. Finishes very long and floral, with perfectly integrated sweet tannins. A beauty in the making." (IWC)
"Strong reduction is framed in noticeable wood. There is good depth to the impressively voluminous and solidly concentrated flavors that possess a suave mouth feel, all wrapped in a mouth coating finish of good if not truly exceptional length. This balanced and moderately structured effort is pretty enough but not really my style." (BH)
Winery Notes:
The deepest color so far, and the oakiest nose, too, but lots of ripe, classy elements on the nose as well. Perfumed fruit, super rich and elegant with a silky, velvet texture. Ripe, suave fruit; lovely side acids. Powerful and dense with black cherry on the finish. 18.9/20 |
