"Piper's select cuvée Brut may not be among the richer or more overtly yeasty bottlings to be had, but it is a refined and very carefully crafted wine that shows a real professional hand. It is crisp and clean and charged with lots of small bubbles, and its scant edge of chalky austerity brings fine Blanc de Blancs to mind. It ranks with the better bubbly values to be had for the money. Reviewed: November 2010" (CG)

"A little scoury around the edges and sweet, but otherwise a fine bubbly. Dry and tart, it shows rich Meyer lemon, lime, strawberry, vanilla and yeast flavors." (WE)

Winery Notes:
Blend: 60% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier

Aging: On lees for at least 18months

Appellation: Sonoma County

Tasting Notes: Pale gold color with tiny bubbles. Delicate aromas of ripe apple, toast and peach. Crisp citrus flavors with hint of strawberries and vanilla smoke. Dry, fresh, bright with a long, elegant finish.
